Here we have a quick look at what are sure to be two of the most popular products in the ADV touring segment over the course of the next year. These were first announced in February, so it's been quite a long wait for them to finally be nearing availability. Our full video reviews of this new Klim gear will be available soon.
Klim Latitude Jacket and Klim Latitude Pants are soon to be gracing the shelves of RevZilla.com, and we couldn't be happier about it as this truly is a game-changing combo for the ADV touring rider. Featuring an extremely abrasion-resistant 840D Cordura laminated directly to the Gore-Tex waterproof breathable membrane, the Klim Latitude Jacket is guaranteed to keep you dry, and allow your skin to breathe, for life. This is a new spin on the Gore two-layer performance shell with the utilization of 840D Cordura as the abrasion-resistant exterior. Their complement, the Klim Latitude Pants, use Gore-Tex three-layer performance shell, again utilizing 840D Cordura bonded to the Gore membrane. A full kit of CE rated armor is found at the shoulders, elbows, and knees.
Klim Badlands Pro Jacket is the beast of the new Klim ADV gear. Utilizing the most extreme of shell materials (Gore-Tex pro shell, Armacor), the Klim Badlands Pro also features a full kit of d3o molecular-level armor for intelligent impact protection. This includes the d3o Viper Pro CE level 2 back protector. At the front, Dow Corning siliconized spacer mesh armor is used in the chest for exceptional impact protection. It is also fully compatible with a hydration system, has 8 ventilation ports, 7 external pockets, 4 internal pockets and a removable and adjustable kidney belt support. The Klim Badlands Pro Pants are no slouch either, matching the shell materials and incorporating d3o armor. There are additional Cordura reinforcements in the highest-use areas, in addition to full-grain Italian leather at the inner knee and lower leg to deter heat and wear.
These outfits are absolute homeruns from Klim for this season. Stay tuned for our detailed video breakdowns which will be released in the very near future.
