2013 Horizon Rain Jacket & Pants from Olympia

While the two-wheel breed generally lives life chasing the horizon, that ever-present unknown can often bring inclement weather. You can expect the unexpected with the Olympia Horizon Rain Jacket and Pants.

Self contained in its own pocket for convenient storage, the Horizon rain gear is made to be light weight, but sturdy. The membrane is made of breathable rip-stop nylon and ergonomically tailored to NOT fit like a garbage bag. With neck adjustment and a waist cinch, the Horizon rain jacket will hug your layers without flapping in the wind. Similarly, the Olympia Horizon Rain Pants are fastened with adjustable waist straps and an elastic rear waist band. A double storm placket front closure on the jacket provides a gutter system to evacuate any water that blows into the zipper area. Built into the collar, the Horizon jacket stows a waterproof hood that can be worn underneath your helmet. This forces water to run off your helmet to the outside of the jacket instead of down your neck and into your collar.

The pant legs expand via velcro closure panels to give more room for entry with boots and in addition, the pants are reinforced with Nomex heat shields at the lower interior of the legs. The entire suit is covered with 3M Scotchlite reflective piping for added visibility and a High-Viz colorway is available as pictured here.

Rain gear is an essential for the dedicated rider.  Olympia has done a great job at making this a comfortable, desirable option instead of a grudge purchase for those rainy days.
