Olympia Women's Expedition Gear: The Right Cut

Matt - Gear Geek

Gear manufacturers have finally started to listen to their lady riders! Gone are the days that companies just make smaller mens gear and add pink and purple colorways. The newest jacket and pants to offer a true woman-specific hour glass fit, is the Olympia Women's Expedition.

Olympia Women's Expedition Motorcycle JacketThe Olympia Women's Expedition Jacket is Olympia’s top-of-the-line jacket that is packed with technical features, such as Olympia’s three layer system that uses one layer for protection and ventilation, a second layer that can be worn over or beneath the first layer that offers waterproofing and wind protection, and lastly the third thermal layer that provides you warmth. This jacket also has a waist length cut which I prefer over the ¾ length that you would see on the Olympia Women's Ranger Jacket. Throw in some adjustment in the waist, seat, side, and arm and you are almost guaranteed to have a good fit.

Olympia Women's Expedition Motorcycle PantsThe Olympia Women's Expedition Pants do not use the three layer system that the jacket does, however it still comes with a waterproof layer that can be used beneath the protective shell or on top of it. Speaking of the protective shell, like the jacket, the pants will have 500 denier cordura throughout the body and 2000 denier in the impact areas. The pants feature CE rated armor in the knees (jacket includes CE rated armor at the back, elbow and shoulder) and EVA foam at the hips. And of course these pants are women’s specific as well with stretch panels in the right places and a lower rise for a modern look and fit.

There you have it, a new lady specific option that is actually designed to fit a woman! Wear the jacket with all of the liners or take them all off and open up all the vents. No matter the season, this jacket and pants would work for you as a true four season option.
