The best just keeps on getting better. Most of you adventurers out there are likely already familiar with the Klim Badlands jacket. The Badlands is known for being one of the most popular and capable jackets out there for hardcore adventure riders, whether you are covering some serious miles on the highway or trekking off road into the wilderness. Traditionally available in black or gray, Klim has listened to customer suggestions and has released the Badlands jacket that we all know and love in Hi-Vis Yellow.
The Klim Badlands Hi-Vis jacket is everything you know and love about the Badlands, with the added benefit of bring extra visible when riding in low light or poor weather conditions. The Gore-Tex 3-layer shell will keep you dry as you ride through rain and the occasional water crossing. The Superfabric incorporated into the shoulders, elbows, and forearms makes abrasion for the most part a non-issue. And none of the pockets will be a weak point, as they are constructed with Armacor on the back, chest, and waist for outstanding abrasion and tear resistance. To top that off, the jacket includes a solid D3O integrated armor system with elbow, shoulder, and a CE level 2 back protector included. Even the chest is covered, with siliconized spacer mesh armor.
Comfort is king, and Klim made sure that this jacket would be as comfortable as possible for those all-day rides. Adjustable straps are included on the wrists, forearms, and biceps. The collar is lined to prevent any excessive rubbing, and a removable and adjustable kidney belt helps to keep the jacket stable and secure when traversing rough terrain. For those extra hot days, a hydration bladder and hose can be equipped. Lastly, the large chest, side, bicep, forearm, and back vents have the ability to flow a ton of air, keeping you cool in the hottest temperatures.
Klim has nailed it again by keeping it simple and not changing what wasn’t broken. The Badlands is still among the best when it comes to hardcore adventure jackets, and is even safer now that it is more visible. If you have any plans to do some serious adventure riding in the near future, definitely keep the Klim Badlands Hi-Vis Jacket on your list.
