TCX X-Blast & X-Helium: A Call To The Wild

New for 2016, TCX is answering the call of those that are more narrow-of-foot with the X-Blast and X-Helium Michelin Boots. Long a go-to brand for those of us that need a bit more width in our footwear, TCX maintains its spot as that go-to brand while expanding its offerings to include a more diverse population of foot widths. As an additional bonus to entice those skinny-footed folks to try the TCX brand, they have collaborated with Michelin in the X-Helium Michelin boots on sole design and construction. Skinny folks get all the breaks.

TCX X-Blast Motorcycle BootsMuch like the X-Mud Boots, the X-Blast Boots are TCX’s entry-level boots... at least in terms of price point. The X-Mud Boots provide tons of protection--they’re CE certified--and feature replaceable rubber soles, leather uppers, steel toe caps, and medial polyurethane grip panels on the ankles. Cleanly styled even with TCX logos in 4 places on each boot (just in case you forget who you’re wearing) and the X-Blast logo on the upper hook-and-loop closure, they are available in all black or in a dual-tone of white and black. For those looking for great off-road capability, exceptional build quality, and a bit more standard fit, the TCX X-Blast Boots should be just the ticket.

TCX X-Blast Motorcycle Boots Review:

TCX X-Helium Michelin Motorcycle BootsTo many of us here at RevZilla, Michelin is synonymous with good, sticky rubber of the donut-shaped variety. Michelin seems to know what they’re doing when it comes to rubber compounds, so TCX’s collaboration with Michelin on the TCX X-Helium Michelin Boots is likely to have produced an exceptional sole. Bringing the modern sole aesthetic to their off road line--the Speedway Boots notwithstanding--TCX went big so they won’t have to go home with this mid-level boot. In either the all-black or white/black colorway, the X-Helium Michelins utilize aluminum buckles and sport a tasteful 8 logos between the two boots along with much of the same protection and features as the X-Blast described above. And don’t forget: Michelin.

So, if you have more standard-width feet and want to up your off road boot game or simply get into a pair of boots with great features at an attractive price, TCX has you covered. Brap on!
