For the Fall of 2016, REV’IT! has come to the table with a line up of gear that takes direct aim at the challenge of providing maximum efficiency to city riders and commuters. In doing so, they have designed a list of motorcycle jackets that look to combine a low-profile aesthetic with a high-profile quality. In the category of cool-to-cold weather business commuter jackets, both the REV’IT! Williamsburg and the REV’IT! Watson are among the most notable of the season.

With the REV’IT! Williamsburg Jacket riders get ¾ length waterproof riding jacket that offers extended coverage over the upper thighs. Constructed of a 2L laminated Hydratex cotton/poly outer shell, the REVIT Williamsburg repels water from the start, thus keeping the outer fabric from getting soaked and heavy, as is often the case with many textile waterproof jackets that use an internal membrane only. Additionally, the REVIT Williamsburg motorcycle jacket features a removable thermal liner that is 150g throughout the body and 100g throughout the sleeves, SeeSmart flexible CE1 armor at the elbows and shoulders, and even a removable insulated hood! All of which are designed to keep riders more comfortable, safer, and better equipped for the daily ride.

REV'IT! Williamsburg Jacket Review:

The REV’IT! Watson Jacket is much like the Williamsburg in style and function, yet with a few differentiating features that set it apart. With a more refined hand and material finish, the Watson Jacket comes in at a slightly more premium price point. Additional differences can be seen in the Watson’s blacked out snaps (as opposed to the Brass ones on the Williamsburg), double layer reinforcements at the elbows, gussets under the armpits, and a center vent with snap. Even with the incorporation of these elements, however, the REVIT Watson Jacket is still able to present itself as an even more streamlined version of the Williamsburg for those in search of a ultra minimalist look.
