Picking up where the Qwest left off, the new Shoei RF-SR Helmet stands as the entry point into the world of high-end Shoei design. Focused on providing riders with a comfortable and quiet ride without requiring as heavy of a lift from the bank account, the RF-SR is new to the game for Fall of 2016.
The main advantage of the Shoei RF-SR is that it brings decades of research and experience to the masses at a price much lower than its contemporaries within the Shoei lineup. Aerodynamic maximization through wind-tunnel testing? The RF-SR has that. Four shell sizes to refine the outer profile? Yup, the RF-SR has that too. Use of Shoei’s Advanced Integrated Matrix Plus outer shell? Absolutely. The RF-SR has all of these things and more (such as the CWR-1 shield and QR-E system, emergency release cheek pads, and both DOT / Snell M2015 safety certifications).
In the end, the RF-SR is a helmet that provides a premium pedigree at a relatively modest price
point amongst its contemporaries. It is a do-all road helmet that will perform, and perform well, for many miles to come.
Have fun out there, be safe, and as always…
Enjoy the ride,
Juice
