REV'IT! Nova Jacket

Although we're getting hit with this "bomb cyclone" here in Philly today, many of us are daydreaming of Spring riding and the gear launches that are sure to follow. As usual, REV'IT! does not disappoint with the roll-out of their newest leather jackets, including the
REV'IT! Nova Jacket, which is new for Spring 2018.

REVIT Nova Motorcycle JacketTaking style cues from the super popular REV'IT! Flatbush and REV'IT! Gibson Jackets, the REV'IT! Nova follows that classic Cruiser style, with a band of color across the chest to set it apart from the rest. Available in Black leather with 3 color block options (White, Green, or Blue) and a stellar option of two-tone Blue leather, this jacket is sure to appeal to quite a few riders. While this jacket does not have any venting, it does come with a full-sleeve detachable thermal liner, making it ideal for riders hitting the road just as the grass is starting to peek out from underneath the snow. Our brothers in California (and other moderate climates) could definitely rock this jacket year-round, but I can see this jacket going back on the hanger once the temps start climbing above 70. That still gives you plenty of time to break in the Rub Off cowhide leather to get that beautifully worn-in vintage look this jacket is just screaming for.

REVIT Nova Motorcycle Jacket BackThe REV'IT! Nova jacket comes stock with Seesmart CE Level 1 armor in the elbows and shoulders, and a pocket for the optional Seesoft CE Level 2 back protector (sold separately). Aside from the standard zip-up handwarmer pockets, you've got a handy document pocket on the left sleeve to stash your ID and some cash for convenient access. The short connection zipper on the inside of the jacket, along with the jeans loops, makes it easy to pair this jacket with the many armored riding jeans that REV'IT! has to offer.

Overall, REV'IT! always does a great job of catering to many different segments with one piece of gear, and I think the REV'IT! Nova Jacket is no exception. If you ask me, that two-tone Blue leather is the real show-stopper in this new release!

Ride safe, and stay warm!

REV'IT! Vertex GT Jacket

Riding conditions might not be ideal for most of us right now, but the Spring will soon be upon us. I know it's hard to imagine with all of these snow covered cars, but fear not, there is light at the end of the tunnel. With the warmer season slowly approaching, REV’IT! has been hard at work. Coming to us this spring, we have the REV’IT! Vertex GT Jacket.
REVIT Vertex GT Motorcycle Jacket
This jackets outer shell consist of  Monaco Performance Cowhide combined with Lorica and stretch for a comfortable fit. The Vertex GT will also come equipped with a detachable thermal which should help you push this jacket into those colder morning rides. CE Level 2 armor in the shoulders and elbows and as always, the jacket is ready to be equipped with REV’IT!’s Seesoft CE Level 2 back protector. The jacket is also equipped with a few pockets, a small amount of perforation, and it will come with a short and long connection zipper to accommodate a pair of REV’IT! Pants.

Try to stay warm out there, Spring will be here before we know it. For now, I would keep your peepers peeled for the REV’IT! Vertex GT Jacket as I am certain this will be another juggernaut option in the REV’IT! lineup.

Keep on keep’n on,

REV'IT! Safari 3 Jacket

The Revit Safari jacket is finally coming to the US with the new 3rd generation this March. The Safari 3 is a worthy successor to the Europe-only Safari 2 jacket, boasting similar features with a few key changes.
REVIT Safari 3 Motorcycle Jacket
Occupying a niche between the Enterprise and the Outback 2, the REV'IT! Safari 3 Jacket has upgraded CE 2 SeeFlex armor and a pocket for the SeeSoft CE level 2 back protector. With four colorways of  600D polyester and the regular Revit fit with a detachable thermal liner, this jacket is great for Autumn through Spring use. The Safari is a lighter weight option for riders that feel encumbered in the Outback 2, and want higher-level armor protection.

The Safari 3 is the newest in Revit’s jacket lineup, filling a niche previously only available in Europe, giving Mild-to-Cold weather riders a great new waterproof jacket option.

REV'IT! Traction Jacket

Keeping up with REV'IT!’s ongoing foray into the street casual segment, the REV'IT Traction Jacket is half summer vacation, half letterman jacket, and all class.

REVIT Traction Motorcycle JacketThe Traction is a solid mesh jacket with removable Hydratex liner, so whether you are cruising to the beach, or away from the storm, you’re sure to get an A in coolness. The collar and cuffs are made of a soft knit material for extreme comfort on those hot days.

Borrowing notes from the Akira Air jackets, the Traction sports the REV'IT! TPU protectors on the shoulders for that undeniably race-inspired look. Don’t be fooled, this jacket is more than a pretty face-- it’s got CE level protection in the shoulders and elbows, and room for the CE2 Seesoft back protector so you can make Ma proud, and look good doing it.

All in all, the Traction is a great hot-weather option for the style-conscious casual rider, and we’re glad to see Rev’It making waves in that market.

REV'IT! Vertex Air Jacket

Up for Spring 2018, and new for all of you, is the REV'IT! Vertex Air Jacket. This super slick piece of hot weather kit is bringing the REV'IT! leather jacket style into a better breathing mesh jacket chassis.

REVIT Vertex Air Motorcycle Jacket
This race fit mesh jacket accepts the Challenger Cooling Vest Insert, for really keeping that core temperature down. On the backside is an 8" connection zipper to attach to your REV'IT! pants and a jeans loop in case you're a denim pant fan. Also on the backside of the jacket is a pocket for a CE Level 2 back protector insert, in typical REV'IT! fashion.

What is not typical of this jacket are the hard exterior shoulder protectors. Normally seen high-end leather race jackets and race suits, this brings an awesome extra dose of style and the benefit of added protection for that ever vulnerable shoulder seam.

Style-wise, this jacket is a home run! It will be right a home from sportbikes, naked standard bikes, and even sportier leaning sport-touring machines. Get one now while half the country is still running their snow plows and you'll be ready for summer when the riding is funner.

REV'IT! Vapor 2 Jacket

As an update to the original Vapor Jacket, the REV'IT! Vapor 2 Jacket now includes a few key changes that get us excited while retaining the main DNA which made us fall in love with the original in the first place.

REVIT Vapor 2 Motorcycle JacketThe main difference that REV'IT! has made with its newest iteration of the Vapor is increased protection in the form of better armor. Now coming standard with Seeflex CE level 2 armor in the shoulders and elbows, the protection we used to only see on the highest end REV'IT! jackets and pants has now made its way into a jacket at the $400 price point.

With a few other changes like an update from using dobby fabric, to now using ripstop across the chest as well as some new colorways, the Vapor 2 remains largely unchanged. Staying is the detachable thermal liner, Hydratex waterproofing, near endless adjustability and the aggressive sporty fit that made the original Vapor a go-to cold weather option for sport-touring riders.

When it comes down to it, while the Vapor 2 is not a huge update, REV'IT! has made the largest change in arguably the most important area to riders-- protection. This additional level of protection is something we are not seeing from too many manufacturers in a three-season cold weather sport-touring jacket, which continues to make the Vapor 2 Jacket a go-to option.

REV'IT! Torque Jacket

Even though the winter weather can make the next riding season seem so far away, REV'IT! is unveiling their upcoming apparel to help navigate riders through the spring and summer months that will be approaching before you know it.

REVIT Torque Motorcycle JacketREV'IT's Torque Jacket will line up right next to their existing summer mesh/textile jackets such as the Airwave 2 or the Tornado 2. The Torque Jacket will provide very similar mesh paneling in order to achieve maximum airflow while still providing great protection in all the right areas, such as the elbows and shoulders.

The REV'IT! Torque Jacket is also prepared for their Seesoft CE level 2 back protector and is offered in much more subtle colorway variations that include colors such as black, grey, and army green.

So, as the riding season begins to take shape, be sure that you can handle the summer heat with ease and style by riding with REV'IT's new Torque Jacket.

REV'IT! Jerez 3 Gloves

The REV'IT! Jerez 3 Gloves are the successor to their top of the line race glove, the Jerez Pro.
REVIT Jerez 3 Motorcycle Gloves
Overall, we are not seeing REV’IT! make any major changes in regards to construction. They are still giving us a kangaroo and goatskin glove with a bevy of hard TPU protection covering the knuckles, little finger and palm all worthy of keeping the top level MotoGP riders safe.

While there will be four new colorways to choose from the REV'IT! Jerez 3 Gloves are largely unchanged will continue to be a staple atop their sport/race glove line up.

REV'IT! Ignition 3 Jacket

REVIT Ignition 3 Motorcycle JacketREV’IT! plans to release the REV'IT! Ignition 3 Jacket spring of 2018. Updates for the 3rd remix of the Ignition jacket will include a new look and Seeflex CE level 2 armor stitched to the outer shell of the jacket instead of the mesh liner. The benefit to you is greater impact protection while insuring the armor stays in the right place. The same Dynax mesh and Monaco Performance cowhide still make up the shell of the jacket which provides great abrasion protection and breathability. No changes have been made to the guts of the Ignition 3. The removable thermal liner and removable waterproof liner are carried over from the Ignition 2, which makes it a true 3-4 season jacket.

REV'IT! Riding Shirts: Crosby and Yates

There is a big difference in getting there, and getting there in style. If you ride a motorcycle, you care about both. Don’t fool yourself into thinking otherwise. If your style happens to be casual and cool, then one of the new shirts from REV’IT! might just tickle your fancy.
REVIT Crosby Riding Shirt
For fans of the denim button down look, the REV’IT! Crosby Riding Shirt is going to be worth a long hard look. Constructed from 12.5oz Cordura denim with CoolMax element, the Crosby fits in well with both the fashion and motorcycle crowds alike. Underneath, riders get the added benefit of Seesmart CE Level 1 protection at the shoulders and elbows. Additional features include double-layered PWR|shield in the high-impact areas, ventilation panel for increased airflow, and mechanical stretch for increased comfort.

REVIT Yates Motorcycle SweaterIf you happen to prefer the ninja, stealthy nighttime in the city look, the REV’IT! Yates Sweater will likely be more your style. Designed as a motorcycle pullover that has a bit more protection than your average equivalent from Banana Republic, the Yates motorcycle sweater brings together a sleek profile with features such as Seesmart CE Level 1 protection, as well as a pocket for an optional (and sold separately) Seesoft CE Level 2 back protector. Additional features include laminated reflectivity, PWR|knit, ripstop, and rib knit construction, and a regular, city fit.

On the bike or off. For the ride or the stride. REV’IT!’s latest motorcycle shirts offer increased motorcycle specificity while retaining much of the style that matters so much.

Have fun out there, be safe, and as always…

REV'IT! Pants: Varenne and Vapor 2

For ardent riders who trek on through a wide range of weather conditions and are looking for a pair of pants to do the same, REV’IT! has you covered.
REVIT Vareen Motorcycle Pants
The REV’IT! Varenne Pants cut the proverbial mustard in a variety of ways. As overpants, they work to make things simple. They can be worn right over top of your standard work or going out clothes. At the same time, they offer all-weather defenses with the combination of a 600D polyester outer shell, detachable thermal liner, and hydratex G-liner for waterproofing. Additional features of the Varenne motorcycle pants include CE Level 2 Seeflex armor at the knees, reflectivity, and a short connection zipper to create a seamless fit with REV’IT! Jackets.

REVIT Vapor 2 Motorcycle PantsFor a slightly higher degree of technicality, the REV’IT! Vapor 2 Pants rock a polyester ripstop, PWR|shell 500D stretch, and PWR|shell 500D outer shell. This combination of stretch material and rugged ripstop comes together for a long-lasting, highly durable, yet still very comfortable pair of motorcycle pants. As with the Varenne pants, the Vapor 2 also features a waterproofing, yet it jumps up to a hydratex | Z-liner. Additional features include the Seeflex CE Level 2 armor at the knees and Seesmart CE Level 1 hip protection, as well as a detachable thermal liner for cooler temperatures.

Ride on. Ride well. Ride year round with the newest pants from REV’IT! for the Spring of 2018.

Have fun out there, be safe, and as always…

REV'IT! Pants: Ignition 3 and Vertex GT

Motorcycle pants often get overlooked. They are not as important as essential as a helmet, not as stylish as a jacket, and not as imperative to comfort as boots or gloves. Nonetheless, they are an important part of any riding outfit whether your road is a long one through various conditions, or your road is actually a track.
REVIT Ignition 3 Motorcycle Pants
The REV’IT! Ignition 3 Pants are the latest iteration in a long-standing line of top-quality summer pants that have the distinguishing characteristics of being both leather and mesh, as well as mesh and waterproof. Designed for riders who prefer the leather look but not the leather lack of airflow, the Ignition 3 Pants are constructed of a combination of Monaco Performance cowhide, PWR|shell 500D stretch and dynax mesh. Underneath they also feature a detachable hydratex|3L waterproof layer for rainy days and windblocking. Additional features include Seeflex CE Level 2 protection at the knees and Seesmart CE Level 1 Type B hip armor.

REVIT Vertex GT PantsFor those who prefer the go-fast track style, the REV’IT! Vertex GT Pants are a full leather option that use Monaco Performance cowhide and PWR|shell 500D stretch with Lorica throughout. Underneath the partly perforated outer shell, Seeflex CE Level 2 knee armor and Seesmart CE Level 1 Type B hip armor also offer advanced impact protection. Additional features of the Vertex GT Pants include stretch lips, both short and long connection zippers, and ergonomically placed stretch panels for increased range of motion.

Regardless of where you ride, or what style you may have to go along with the realities of the weather in which you trek, the Spring 2018 lineup of REV’IT! pants offer options to round out your outfit.

Have fun out there, be safe, and as always…

REV'IT! Race Suits: Pulsar and Nova

The more precise the action, the more precise the gear needs to be to accomodate. If you’re smashing rocks with a sledgehammer, it needs to be heavy and solid. That’s about it. If you’re zooming around the track at over 100mph, however, precise is the name of the game. When it comes to racing suits, the right fit and features make all the difference.
REV'IT! Pulsar Motorcycle Race Suit
With the REV’IT! Pulsar Race Suit riders get one of the most aesthetically differentiated suits on the market. Like a cobra poised for the venomous strike, the Pulsar’s outer shell features traditional cowhide with debossed nubuck that makes for a serpent-like appearance. But the goods aren’t all about style. Additionally (and more importantly), the Pulsar is a suit built for action. Some of the features include PWR|Kevlar stretch material, Betac CE protection at the shoulders, Seesmart CE Level 1 Type B hip protectors, and comfort cuffs, stretch lips / panels and aero cool 3D mesh.

REV'IT! Nova Motorcycle Race SuitStepping up (slightly), riders can look to the REV’IT! Nova Race Suit. Constructed from Monaco Performance cowhide and PWR|Kevlar stretch, the Nova is both highly durable, and extremely comfortable. Also featuring Betac CE protection at the shoulders and Seesmart CE Level 1 Type B hip protectors, the Nova is also well-equipped to provide advanced defenses in the event of a crash. Additional features include a fully perforated outer shell, pocket for optional VCS | speed hump hydration bladder, and a removable lining.

Going fast, and doing so with style and precision is the name of the game for track day enthusiasts and championship motorcycle circuit riders alike. For the Spring of 2018, REV’IT! Has brought two top-tier suits to the table that will continue to perform for years to come.

Have fun out there, be safe, and as always…

REV'IT! Gloves: RSR 3 and Chicane

Aggressive grips for aggressive rides. Whether you prefer a short cuff or long, REV’IT! has brought a pair of mitts for each to the table for Spring 2018.
REV'IT! RSR 3 Motorcycle Gloves
For full-on gauntlet gloves that are ready for the track, the REV’IT! RSR 3 stands as the latest iteration on the long-running lineup that has seen success and acclaim for years. Constructed from a cowhide, goatskin, and polyurethane coated fabric, the RSR 3 gloves are also backed with a PWR|shield for added durability. Additional features of the REV’IT! RSR 3 Gloves include TPU hard shell palm sliders, EVA foam for added impact absorption, and TPU hard-shell knuckle protectors.

REV'IT! Chicane Motorcycle GlovesFor non-track (yet still aggressive) riding, the REV’IT! Chicane Gloves offer short-cuff comfort and go-fast styling and features. Rocking a cowhide, goatskin, SuperFabric, and polyurethane coated outer shell, the Chicane gloves are wearable for long distances, and durable enough to last for years to come. Additional features of the Chicane Gloves include TPU hard-knuckles, hard-shell finger protectors, Temperfoam impact absorption, and PWR|shield knit that lines the inside of the glove itself.

Short cuff or long, whichever you prefer, the latest REV’IT! gloves for Spring 2018 are equipped to get you there.

REV'IT! Gloves: Blackburn and Cubbon

Low key is the new cool-kid in town. The one who shows up in a Firebird with a denim jacket and rocking the best damn hair on the street. Low-key is cool, and cool is cool in the summer. Two new gloves from REV’IT! bring both states of being together nicely.
REV'IT! Blackburn Motorcycle Gloves
The REV’IT! Blackburn Gloves are as streamlined with protection as streamlined with protection gets. Constructed from a combination of 3D Air Mesh and goatskin for airflow and tactile responsiveness. Underneath, the Temperfoam backed palms and hard knuckles add increased levels of protection for unfortunate meetings with the ground. Additional features of the REV’IT! Blackburn Gloves include an adjustment tab at the wrist for secure fitment and a short cuff design that is great for around-town commuting and highway riding alike.

REV'IT! Cubbon Motorcycle GlovesFor longer cuffs and increased coverage, but still a summer motorcycle glove design, the REV’IT! Cubbon Gloves are a great choice. Featuring a goatskin outer shell that incorporates PU coated fabric and 2-way stretch with corduroy, the Cubbon Gloves are at the same time durable, comfortable, and welcoming to airflow throughout. Additional features include Seesoft knuckle protectors, a touring fit, and adjustment tabs.

In the end, summer riding (and summer living) is all about staying cool. REV’IT! has introduced two new gloves for the Spring 2018 launch that will go a long way towards ensuring that, your hands at least, will remain that way for the duration of the ride.

Bell Scout Air Helmet

Keeping it light and free. As our world has continued to add more and more technology to just about everything, it is refreshing to see those items that take it back to the basics. With riding a motorcycle, those basics are all about you, your motorcycle, and the air around you.
Bell Scout Air Motorcycle Helmet
With the Bell Scout Air Helmet riders get a quality, DOT certified helmet that comes with a streamlined construction and is geared to keep them in tune with their surroundings, unencumbered by an enclosed faceshield. What the Scout Air gives up in face protection, it adds in facial expressions as riders can smile ear-to-ear with the wind in their grill and the sun on their cheeks. Additional features of the Bell Scout Air Helmet include a composite Tri-Matrix shell, five-year warranty, and 5 low-profile shell sizes.

Bell Scout Air Helmet Review:

In the end, technology will advance. That is a good thing. However, for the days when you want to reconnect with the ride itself, the Scout Air from Bell is a great place to start.

Bell Star MIPS Helmet

When the latest iteration becomes even more iterative, well, that is cause to take notice. Such is the case with the new Bell Star MIPS Helmet.
Bell Star MIPS Motorcycle Helmet
Not too long ago the Bell Star lineup was reinvented. On the heels of that success, they have now introduced the Star with the Multi-Directional Impact Protection System. “What on earth does that do?” you ask? Well, the MIPS technology works to better disperse rotational energy in the event of a crash, which in turn means that less of that energy makes its way to your skull… which in turn is a good thing. Additional features of the Bell Star MIPS Helmet include a Tri-Matrix composite shell that has been meticulously crafted for superior aerodynamics, an X-Static XT2 silver liner, and a Panovision face shield for premier optics.

Taking it to the next level is not easy, especially so quickly after changing the game for the first time. That, however, is what Bell does so well and has done for decades at this point. The Bell Star MIPS is yet another example of this trend continuing.

Bell Moto-9 MIPS Tagger Assymetric Helmet

Energy matters. So does being different. Without either, things get kind of boring. Good thing for dirt riders, the Bell Moto-9 MIPS Tagger Assymetric Helmet exists.
Bell Moto-9 MIPS Tagger Assymetric Motorcycle Helmet
First off, that is not a typo. This lid is called the “Assymetric.” True story. Moving on from that tidbit, the point here is that Bell has crafted a wacky, high-energy, instant eye-grabbing lid for serious dirt riders. From the lightweight composite Tri-Matrix outer shell to the super-attention-to-detail aerodynamics that went into its development, the Moto-9 is a stand out option in the motocross world. Additionally, the inclusion of MIPS technology works to provide some of the most well-researched motorcycle helmet defensive features out there. It’s a baller combination.

Regardless of if you’re interested in the Moto-9 MIPS Tagger Assymetric Helmet for the features, finish, or freshness of name, you won’t be wrong.

Bell MX-9 MIPS Marauder Motorcycle Helmet
While the Bell MX-9 MIPS Marauder Helmet can’t really help get you that intergalactic space jumper, or ensure that your artisanal lettuce wraps haven’t gone bad, what it can guarantee is that if you ride off-road, your helmet will look fly. WIth a high-contrast, attention-grabbing graphic set on the MX-9 frame, there is a lot to like about the Marauder graphic from the beginning. Add in the Multi-Directional Impact Protection System (MIPS) and a mid-level price point, and the value of this lid skyrockets even further.

Bell MX-9 Adventure MIPS Berm Helmet
