Gear Geek
I don’t know about you guys but when I put on a leather suit in preparation to ride on two wheels I know it is going to be a good day. I also feel dangerously invincible when I am robed in beautiful leathers. For those of you out there who have not yet felt the sensation of dragging your knee on the tarmac around a corner at 70+ mph you really need to add it to the bucket list. I am sure there are quite a few of us out there who have dragged our knee on the ground but it was as we were falling off of our bikes! That is certainly not something I would recommend adding to the bucket list but it happens to the best of us. For those two wheeled knee draggers out there I am here to chat with you about the new Alpinestars GP Pro Tech Air Race Suit.
If you know anything about Alpinestars you know their gear is certainly top notch and this new suit is nothing short of that. The GP Pro Tech Air Race Suit will have localized perforation throughout the suit to keep you nice and cool. In addition, if things start getting a little funky the suit will come with a removable mesh liner so you can always keep it nice and fresh. The knees will have a multi reinforced layer construction for improved grip texture with the bikes contact areas. Aka, they improved the feel and the comfort in the knees where you will be straddling your two wheeled rocket.
The suit will also be ready for the Alpinestars Level 2 Nucleon Back Protector to be snapped in. Stretch panels are always a big plus when it comes to a race suit. They provide great comfort and movement which is much needed when you are trying to wrestle your two wheeled rocket from one corner to the next. I think a big key take away from the Alpinestars GP Pro Tech Air Race Suit is that is will be compatible with the Tech Air System. If you are not familiar with this system I strongly recommend you hop over to Alpinestars Tech-Air FAQ as it will provide a lot of great information pertaining to this system. This is an Air Bag system that uses sensor situated close to the rider and detects the impending loss of control or crash impact and deploys an electronically triggered airbag to help prevent injury to the upper body. This technology could probab be talked about for hours so I will just say it sounds pretty awesome. I have not personally had the opportunity to put it to the test and fingers crossed I never do but it will integrate with the new GP Pro Tech Air Race Suit.
Hopefully this gives you a bit of insight to the new GP Pro Tech Air Suit from Alpinestars. This suit is certainly going to be right in line with the best of them. With added benefit of adding the the Tech Air System you are really looking at an incredible piece of protective equipment. None of us ever plan to go down but unfortunately it is a common occurrence with those two wheeled rockets we all love so much. We only get 1 body so it probably couldn’t hurt to have some of the best protection your money can buy. Ride safe out there my fellow knee draggers.
Keep on keep’n on,
B-Wise
