Icon Spring 2011 Jacket Guide

Icon has some brand new jackets coming out for Spring 2011, and there is definitely to be a style for every rider in the Icon community.

First is the continuation of the Overlord Jacket series. Leading with the Icon Overlord Prime Hero Leather Jacket and its aggressive “Icon Attack” fit, this new embroidered graphics option aims to shoot the competition off the road and set a new standard for street riding style. Perforated leather, stretch panels, and premium grade leather all over, the Hero will keep you comfortable in demanding riding conditions. The removable wind-resistant vest works well for chilly morning commutes too! In addition to the CE Field Armor Impact Protectors in the elbows and shoulders, the Overlord Prime jackets also include external injected plastic protection on shoulders, elbows, and back. This jacket’s back protector can be upgraded to the Icon Stryker CE Back Protector.

For warmer weather, consider the Icon Overlord GSX-R Textile Jacket available this year with the additional Suzuki details that make this an excellent Gixxer rider’s choice. This jacket is extremely flexible, due to the intelligent application of spandex panels, flex-zones, and fighter mesh panels. The textile version also comes with a removable wind-resistant layer.

Sometimes when textile isn’t enough, the warmest summer weather demands a Mesh Jacket. With a chassis fully constructed in Icon’s fighter mesh for maximum venting, the Icon Hooligan 2 Threshold Mesh Jacket will keep you coolest! The Threshold is a relaxed fit jacket designed with comfort and airflow in mind. It is available in a a bold selection of colors: black, white, red, blue, and green.

Icon also released a Mil-Spec version of the Hooligan 2. Available in neon orange or yellow, The Icon Hooligan 2 Mil Spec Mesh Jacket meets US Military base guidelines for motorcycle upper body garments, eliminating the requirement to wear a separate reflective vest on the military base. Both Hooligan 2 versions come with a removable wind-resistant liner and are upgradeable to the Icon Stryker CE Back Protector.
