The Dainese Course Out D1 Boots offer excellent protection in a super lightweight package. The boots have a D-Axial system which provides ankle protection along with D-Stone fabric for abrasion resistance. The boots also have adjustable calves with velcro fasteners. The boots are very comfortable and provide a wide degree of flexibility due to their hinged cuff system.

Dainese Course D1 Out Boot Review:

These boots will be perfect for any sport rider looking to start taking on the track. The boots offer great protection for the price and I'm sure they will be a common site at the track this coming season.

Dainese Avro D2 Jacket

The Dainese Avro D2 Jacket introduces the Avro styling in a textile option. Providing another option for an aggressively styled textile jacket with some versatility in Dainese's lineup.

The Dainese Avro D2 jacket utilizes the D-Synth 350 fabric for a trim fit with more flexibility so you can move with the bike. By adding a removable thermal liner the jacket stretches its seasonality and use into the colder months. Armor in the shoulders and elbows is the usual Dainese hard armor for great protection in case you find yourself meeting the pavement.

Dainese Avro D2 Jacket Review:

Overall the Dainese Avro D2 is a great jacket choice for riders looking for an aggressive look that keeps you comfortable on the bike. Those of you in climates where you see mid range temperatures year round, or those looking for a good fall spring option will like this addition from Dainese.

Keep the rubber side down,

Dainese Jeans: Charger and Connect

When it comes to riding pants, sometimes you just want to keep it casual while you’re running errands or going into town on your bike. The dilemma is finding a pair of casual jeans that provide more protection than your average pair of Levi’s. For their Fall 2016 collection, Dainese is giving riders a few more options to choose from with the new Charger and Connect Jeans.

The Dainese Charger  Jeans are stone washed and bad-to-the-bone. From the dark denim of the jeans to the heavy duty reinforcements, the Charger jeans are just as tough as they look. Internal DuPont Kevlar reinforcements make the jeans sturdier and more durable, while the removable knee protectors and the Pro-Shape removable hip armor provide riders with some pretty serious protection. But just because they’re rugged, doesn’t mean the Charger Jeans aren’t comfortable. At the crotch of the Charger Jeans, Dainese uses the same S1 bi-elastic fabric that they use in their leather race suits to ensure the comfort of the rider.

Dainese Charger Jeans Review:

The other option that’s offered for Fall 2016 are the lightweight Dainese Connect Jeans. The Connect jeans offer riders the option for added protection that they can remove once they’re off the bike and out on the streets. With Pro-Armor and Pro-Shape knee pockets, the Connect jeans are Dainese’s way of giving riders an alternative to bulkier jeans with built-in protection. Like the Charger jeans, the Dainese Connect jeans also employ elasticated fabric and internal DuPont Kevlar reinforcements.

Dainese Connect Jeans Review:

With the Charger and Connect jeans Dainese has created a few pieces that will seamlessly fit into any wardrobe. Now that Dainese has introduced two impressive, protective pairs of jeans, riders don’t have pick between comfort/style and protection.

Dainese Street Darker Leather Jacket

Fancy yourself a race leather jacket, but normal "browns" and "blacks" just not dark enough?  Dainese may have the answer with the new Dainese Street Darker Leather Jacket.

One part track leather and one part city style and you have Dainese's new Street Darker Leather Jacket.  A full compliment of composite armor, along with a Trisoft full-grain vat-dyed cowhide will keep you safe from all but the nastiest road hazards.  And while yes, the Street Darker has shoulder armor with aluminum inserts, they've got a fresh coat of black paint on them - no one will be the wiser.  You get race level protection in a package that doesn't scream Power Ranger.  And if that weren't enough, there's plenty of S1 stretch paneling to aid in a comfortably snug fit.

Dainese Street Darker Leather Jacket Review:

If you dream of being thoroughly protected, but don't want anyone to pick you out of a crowd, Dainese has you covered.  Literally.

Scorpion Covert Ratnik Helmet

Holy half helmet Batman! Scorpion is introducing the new Scorpion Covert Ratnik Helmet and this lid is on a mission to be one of the most versatile half helmets you can put your paws on!

Scorpion Covert Ratnik HelmetIf you are looking the swiss army knife of half helmets, then look no further. This lid comes equipped with a SpeedView internal sun visor that has a EverClear no fog coating, an aero-tuned ventilation system, polycarbonate shell, and a Kwikwick 2 anti-microbial fabric liner.

What’s that, there's more? Of course there is! Maybe you ride into some inclement weather or perhaps the bugs simply have it out for you that day, the Covert Ratnik Phantom comes equipped with a neodymium magnetically attached front mask. While I am a strong supporter of riding down the highway with your mouth wide open, I certainly understand it is not for everyone. Come on, who doesn’t like some free protein? The front mask is easily removable and will quickly turn this half helmet into a 3 quarter bug shield in no time at all.

Overall this helmet is going to be a very versatile piece of equipment providing quality features that will have you covered no matter where the open road might take you.

Keep on, keep’n on,

B-Wise

Scorpion EXO-R710 Transect Helmet

As a new graphic update for the very well received Scorpion EXO-R710 helmet, the new Transect colorway arrives this fall with the same features and technical construction we have come to know and love.

Scorpion EXO-R710 Transect HelmetThe Scorpion EXO-R710 Transect Helmet comes in three color options, Black and Silver, Black and Red, and Black and Hi-Viz Yellow. The big news here is the each color option includes Silver accents that are slightly reflective for night time use. Underneath that flashy new paint job is the Snell rated Fiberglass/Aramid Matrix Shell with the EverClear coated fog-free face shield. The interior carries right over which means it is still fully removable and washable. The 3 shell sizes for small size and light weight carry right over as well.

The Scorpion EXO-R710 is a great budget-conscious way of entering into the super technical R-series range of Scorpion helmets. Now with the new Transect graphic, Scorpion is hoping to get even more riders into the fold.

Scorpion EXO-R410 Sugarskull Helmet

Did you just get back from a bad trip in New Orleans during Mardi Gras, and want to commemorate it somehow?  Tattoos hurt, but psychedelic helmets certainly do not.  Want a decent lid that won't break the bank, but will keep your noggin safe on the road?  Scorpion may have just the thing for you.

Scorpion EXO-R410 Sugarskull HelmetThe Scorpion EXO-R410 Sugarskull helmet isn't made for women.  It isn't made for men.  It's made for people who enjoy listening to the Grateful Dead and stumbling around the French Quarter into the wee hours of the morning.  Since indulging in your favorite substances isn't a great idea while riding, it's best that you express your inner head by donning a rad graphic straight out of N'awlins.  Available in two colors schemes, Pink and Gold, you can make whatever statement you wish.  Just be aware, beads are not included.

We all know that helmets aren't just safety devices.  They're like walking billboards, advertising how cool we are.  Some people like boring, solid colored helmets.  Other people, the ones with taste, know how important it is to look fly on the road.  And for them, there's the Scorpion EXO-R410 Sugarskull.

Scorpion EXO-AT950 Battleflage Helmet

The new  Scorpion EXO-AT950 Battleflage Helmet graphic is finally here in all of its camouflage glory. Building on the sport-touring DNA of the EXO-GT920 and combined that with the versatility of a dual-sport helmet, the AT-950 is the jack of all trades. You can rock it without the peak for a comfortable trip on road, then put the peak back on and slap on a pair of goggles to hit the trails.

Scorpion EXO-AT950 Battleflage HelmetPicture this; the UPS guy arrives at your door with a RevZilla box. He hands it over to you and you eagerly open the box to check out the new Scorpion AT-950 that you ordered. You go to pull the helmet out of the box, but wait, the box is empty. After careful inspection, you realize that the helmet is actually there. It is just the badass camouflage of the Battleflage graphic that prevented you from seeing it before!

The neutral color scheme of the camouflage contrasted with the black stripes throughout really makes this helmet pop. Overall the Battleflage is a good looking graphical upgrade to an already good looking helmet, especially for those camouflage lovers out there.

Scorpion Drafter II: Jacket and Pants

Tony - Content Coordinator
A sporty textile that comes in at a bank-account-friendly price. Such is the directive of the Scorpion Drafter II. With both jacket and pants available, the Drafter II offers a matching, full-body option for warm-weather riding.

Scorpion Drafter II JacketThe top half of this combo, the Scorpion Drafter II Jacket, has taken much of the favorable features of the original, and has simplified the style for a more streamlined aesthetic. From the large poly mesh that are positioned over the main torso, to the lightweight, perforated moisture-wicking liner, the Drafter 2 is all about keeping riders cool when the weather gets hot. Additional features of the Scorpion Drafter II include EXO-Tec CE-approved ventilated armor at the shoulders and elbows, adjustability at the arms and waist, a removable AirGuard windproof liner, and NightViz reflectivity.

Scorpion Drafter II Pants
With the Scorpion Drafter II Pants, riders get a pair of motorcycle trousers that are geared to match the same functionality as the jacket, with the same focus on doing so at a minimal price-point. Constructed of a combination of poly mesh and 600 denier nylon at the knees and seat, the Drafter 2 Pants provide a ton of airflow while still remaining true to their mission as protective motorcycle pants. Additional features include EXO-Tec armor at the knees, strategically-placed stretch panels for added mobility, and a continuation of NightViz reflective trim that continues from the jacket.

Warm-weather riding at a minimal investment. Scorpion delivers for the Fall of 2016 with the latest updated to the mesh / textile Drafter II Jacket and Pants.

Have fun out there, be safe, and as always…

Enjoy the ride,

Scorpion Jackets: Influx and Phalanx

Tony - Content Coordinator

For years Scorpion has been a leader in providing motorcyclists with high-value gear that comes in at price point that won’t break the bank. They focus on features that matter and they are able to deliver, consistently, quality motorcycle gear that will not require a significant hit to your personal net worth.

Scorpion Influx JacketThe new Scorpion Influx Jacket is a great example of Scorpion doing what Scorpion does best. As a summer motorcycle jacket that is lightweight, well-ventilated, and ready to stand up to the rigors of the road, the Influx is the quintessential textile/mesh motorcycle jacket. In combining two types of ventilated poly mesh fabrics with 600 denier reinforcements in high-impact zones, the Influx Jacket pays special attention to the line between airflow and protection, while also providing features such as CE-certified armor at the elbows and shoulders, ample adjustability, and a removable full-sleeve AirGuard windproof liner.

Scorpion Phalanx JacketTaking a slight step up from the Influx in price, the Scorpion Phalanx Jacket is a well-armored, highly durable, gritty motorcycle jacket that is ready to live up to the name. Less summer-focused than the Influx, the new Scorpion Phalanx Jacket replaces the large mesh panels with a complete 600 Denier outer shell that is also backed by CE-certified SAS-Tec armor at the elbows and shoulders. Additionally, the Scorpion Phalanx Jacket makes use of a removable EverHeat thermal liner vest, zippered vents for controllable airflow, and KwikWick II moisture management.

Quality gear that won’t break the bank. Scorpion does it better than just about anyone in the world. When looking at jackets such as the Influx and the Phalanx from the Fall 2016 lineup, it isn’t hard to see why that is the case.

Have fun out there, be safe, and as always…

Enjoy the ride,

Scorpion Covert Helmet

Like an undercover operative ready to reach out from the shadows and make their presence known like the hidden hand of night, the new Scorpion Covert Helmet is not to be trifled with.

Scorpion Covert HelmetThis Fall, Scorpion will be introducing their Covert helmet which you can transform from a half helmet to a three quarter helmet. Switching between the two is as easy as snapping and unsnapping a rear bottom sleeve. The helmet also comes with a front mask and drop down internal sun visor to completely shield your face from any bugs and road debris. While inside the Kwickwick liner will keep you head cool by channeling heat and humidity up to the ventilation ducts to be extracted out of the back of the helmet. The only color option is a solid Matte Black so you have no choice but to look like a member of Ra’s al Ghul’s F1 pit crew, the Speed of Shadows.

If unique helmets that are as rich in attitude as they are in menacing aesthetics are your thing, the Scorpion Covert is a lid that should be on your radar.

Scorpion Birmingham Pants

Designed to go with the new Scorpion Birmingham jacket, the Scorpion Birmingham Pants are a great new addition to the Scorpion riding gear family. These are a great option for people looking for the casual look of cargo pants but with the protection of motorcycle pants.

Scorpion Birmingham PantsThe Scorpion Birmingham Pants are made of a waxed cotton and nylon blend with an EXO-wax coated out layer. The pants are 100% waterproof and seam taped. Heavy duty reinforcement at the knees, shins, and seat along with CE certified SAS-TEC armor provide excellent protection. These pants definitely have a classic style and are bound to appeal to a wide variety of riders.

Overall, the Scorpion Birmingham Pants are great for those riders who want a classic style but with modern protection. These are sure to look right at home on any cafe racer or classic sports bike.

Keep the rubber side down!

Scorpion Birmingham Jacket

If you are looking for a snazzy new waterproof city jacket that is as at home walking down main street as it is thundering down the highway, well, look no further. Scorpion’s got you covered, and covered well.

Scorpion Birmingham JacketThe Scorpion Birmingham Jacket sports CE armor at the elbows and shoulders, concealed beneath heavy-duty reinforcements. In doing so, it is geared for both impact and slide protection, while simultaneously providing high levels of casual comfort and style. This jacket even boasts a pocket for a CE-level 2 back protector, should riders want to upgrade from the PE foam back protector that comes standard (which, if you want back protection, the PE foam does next to nothing -- so an upgrade might be in order). Finishing touches like an antique brass zipper and leather trim at the collar and lapels set this jacket apart and further accentuate the attention to detail throughout.

Class and comfort, all in one jacket. Such is the mission of the Scorpion Birmingham Jacket.

Scorpion EXO-T510 Azalea Helmet

Have you been searching for a helmet that shows off your love of ornate gilt brocade? Have you been watching Spurg's review of the Black Brand Sheared Beaver and looking for something to match? The Azalea helmet can help reveal your inner Gothic seductress without sacrificing safety or the features of a good helmet.

Scorpion EXO-T510 Azalea HelmetThe Scorpion EXO-T510 Azalea Helmet is ideal for a spirited commute or a long Sunday ride, thanks to it's advanced ventilation, drop down sun visor and inflatable cheek pad system. As is the case with the majority of Scorpion’s lineup, the EXO-T510 Azalea is all about adding value through feature-rich gear, and doing so without draining your pockets. As far as bang-for-your-buck goes, the T510 is at the front of the class. Add in the intricate Azalea graphic, and it only gets better.

No longer should you expect to sacrifice aesthetics for quality, nor ruin a great outfit with an unmatched lid. Ride on with the new EXO-T510 Azalea, and do so in style.

Scorpion EXO-C110 Pinstripe Helmet

Motorcycling reminds us of simpler times - that classic period of decades past where it was all about the open-road, a rider, and their bike. Some of us like to keep it simple, but simple doesn’t have to mean boring or unrefined. A minor refinement to a classic design allows us to maintain our heritage while keeping with the times.

Scorpion EXO-C110 Pinstripe HelmetCase in point, the new Scorpion EXO-C111 Pinstripe helmet: Here’s a lid that utilizes the tried-and-true half-helmet design, while raising the bar of your average cruiser helmet to something that can keep up with the 21st century. We’re talking a retractable tinted sun-visor, anti-microbial liner, an aerodynamic ventilation system, and even snap-in pockets for the speakers required of modern Bluetooth communication systems.

What gives the Pinstripe its name is the Von Dutch-inspired pinstriping graphic scheme that adorns the shell. Tastefully done, the pinstriping really nails a custom look, and like the helmet, I think it embodies that classic style that harkens back to the heyday of Hot Rods and Choppers. If you’re looking to “get with the times”, but still keep it old school, the EXO-C110 is a great choice.

Get out and explore!

SIDI Boots: Adventure 2 Gore-Tex and Crossfire 3 SR

Tony - Content Coordinator

First there was Terminator. Then there was Terminator II. The first was a gritty, technical, rear-end-kicking juggernaut that changed the game, the latter was an equally as acclaimed follow up that took things to a new level. Such is the case with the latest additions to the SIDI lineup.

SIDI Adventure 2 Gore-Tex BootsThe SIDI Adventure 2 Gore-Tex Boots are the much-awaited sequel to one of the most ardent, trustworthy, and highly-acclaimed motorcycle boots of the past half-decade. That is a simple fact. If, in recent memory, you were a Sport Touring or Dual Sport rider, and you were in search of the absolute best in all-weather footwear, the Adventure GTX from SIDI is the boot that would invariably sit at the top of the list. With the introduction of the Adventure 2 Gore-Tex Boots, SIDI has welcomed their latest vision for what a go-anywhere, any-time motorcycle boot should be. As rugged as the road is long and coming from a premium pedigree that is unparalleled amongst their contemporaries, the SIDI Adventure 2 Boots will undoubtedly retain the top of the podium for many miles to come.

SIDI Crossfire 3 SR BootsFor riders who want to go full off-road, but still want industry-leading comfort, durability, and protection in the category of dirt bike boots, the new SIDI Crossfire 3 SR Boots provide an impressive option. As with the Adventure, the Crossfire Boots from SIDI come from a long lineage of the best. Built as a world-class motocross boot for riders who are going to put them to use with intensity and precision, the SIDI Crossfire 3 SR Boots are a genuine pack-leader in the game. Updates from the previous version include upgrades such as an improved fitment with knee braces and a new ankle pivot system that allows for the required mobility to perform your best, while also providing a sturdy defense against hyperextension.

Following up a hit is hard. It takes a keen awareness to what made the first a success, as well as a vision for how the latest iteration can improve upon it. With the latest boots from SIDI’s Dual Sport, ADV, and Off-Road categories, that is exactly what audiences will see.

Additional features of these do-all, long-range motorcycle boots include an ergonomically-designed PU shin plate for added protection, reinforcements at ankles, strategically-placed elastic stretch panels, and removable arch support.

SIDI Gavia Gore-Tex Boots Review:

SIDI Frontera Shoes

While SIDI is great at producing quality boots for racing and touring, they also have a knack at producing casual shoes for the urban and suburban riders. The latest in their line of casual shoes for urban riders are the SIDI Frontera Riding Shoes.

SIDI Arcadia Boots

Have you ever found yourself carrying an extra pair of boots to change into after you ride into work? Well now you can shed an extra couple of pounds from your bag (and up your style!) with the Sidi Arcadia Tex Boots.
SIDI Arcadia Boots

The boots feature internal reinforcements at the toes and the heel cup, as well as additional protection through internal outer-ankle protective caps. Comfort was certainly on the minds of the designers at Sidi when they added an anti-vibration inner sole system, a removable arch support pad, and additional padding at the top of the shoe. The Arcadia boots, made out of a combination of suede, leather, Cordura, are available in two colors: Brown and Black.

Schuberth R2 Graphics: Nemesis, Enforcer, and Renegade

Tony - Content Coordinator

It’s always intriguing when one of the best comes to the table and says that they have gotten better. Such is the case with the launch of the new Schuberth R2 for the Fall of 2016. To accompany one of the latest additions to the Schuberth lineup, they have also introduced three new graphics.
Schuberth R2 Nemesis Helmet
The Schuberth R2 Nemesis Helmet keeps things simple, yet does so in a way that makes the helmet stand out even more than usual on the road. The Nemesis is a graphic that will be great for riders who like to add a bit of visual differentiation to their wardrobe, but who are not looking to go off the deep end with an overly “in your face” graphic. When compared with a solid color helmet, graphics such as the Nemesis allow for riders to be better seen in that they grab the eye of fellow motorists due to the high-contrast colorways.
Schuberth R2 Enforcer Helmet
For riders looking for a bit more personality, the Schuberth R2 Enforcer Helmet comes to the table with an electric zebra-like pattern that can be as attention grabbing as it is perplexing. Is it Black stripes on a White background, or White stripes on a Black background!?!? Regardless of the answer to that question (if there is an answer at all), there is no question as to the merits of the world-class quality that come with the R2. The Schuberth R2 Enforcer is a premium helmet with a highly noticeable graphic built for riders who want to be seen. Simple as that.

Schuberth R2 Renegade HelmetTaking one step further down the spectrum, the Schuberth R2 Renegade Helmet is built for riders who are not even remotely trying to subdue the outward projection of their personal riding ethos. It is a loud helmet (graphically speaking -- as it is super quiet when it comes to the ride itself!). It makes a statement. It does not apologize. Landing somewhere between tiger stripes, blazes of fire, or the pattern left by a ravenous Great White after sinking its teeth into dinner, the R2 Renegade Helmet is a Lamas-worthy lid with equal parts attitude and moto-specific functionality.

The full spectrum of aesthetics to go with the full spectrum of riders. Schuberth has been doing it at the highest level for years, and will continue that trajectory well into the future.

Have fun out there, be safe, and as always…

Enjoy the ride,

Juice

Schuberth C4 Graphics: Legacy and Pulse

Tony - Content Coordinator

New for the Fall of 2016, Schuberth introduce the C4. As would be expected from one of the world-leaders in the motorcycle helmet game, the C4 is a work of cranial container art. To add to the aesthetic, Schuberth has released a couple graphics to adorn the new lid.

Schuberth C4 Legacy HelmetThe Schuberth C4 Legacy Helmet is all about maximizing noticeability. Whether that is for safety or style, well, that is entirely the choice of the rider. What Schuberth has done is make it possible to do both, and do them well. With the Legacy graphic riders get a high-contrast set of colorways that make the C4 much more visible than a solid color alone. Best of all, it comes in Orange! Taking into account that the C4 is the kind of helmet built for long miles, the addition of hi-viz options allows riders who spend a lot of time in the saddle a graphical option to make them stand out more against the many landscapes they will traverse.
Schuberth C4 Pulse Helmet
Slightly less loud when it comes to hi-viz coverage, the Schuberth C4 Pulse Helmet breaks the visual monotony of a solid colorway, but does so more subtly than the Legacy. With only one hi-viz option, the Pulse is more about increasing style without needing to make a big deal about it. Under the radar. A light touch. The Schuberth C4 Pulse combines all of the intricacy and sophistication of the C4 blueprint with a bit of color-zest for a differentiated look.

Some of the best helmets in the world for some of the most ardent riders. That is what Schuberth does. For the Fall of 2016, they have introduced a handful of new helmets, and new graphics to accompany them, that will keep them at the top of the podium for years to come.

Have fun out there, be safe, and as always…

Schuberth SR2 Graphics: Lightning, Formula, Traction, and Wildcard

Tony - Content Coordinator

Going fast has rarely looked as good as it does in the new Schuberth SR2. As the latest in the brand’s ultra-premium race-day helmets, it is a lid that is as technologically advanced as it is plain cool to look at -- and look cool in. For the Fall release, Schuberth has added to the appeal with a handful of new colorways as well.
Schuberth SR2 Lightning Helmet

The Schuberth SR2 Lightning Helmet is a tech-themed addition to this tech-driven helmet. For years, Schuberth has been amongst the industry leaders in designing helmets that make use of the latest and greatest in both material and data-driven advancements. Whether it be their vast experiences throughout a variety of motorsports applications, or the countless hours of wind-tunnel testing that they do within their own facilities, Schuberth is a cutting-edge brand. With the SR2 Lightning graphic, they project that feeling onto to the lid itself.
Schuberth SR2 Formula Helmet

There is no theorem needed. No reference check of the Periodic Table required. The Schuberth SR2 Formula Helmet is a beast. Plain and simple. Refined in its look and with an ultra-smooth quality to its style, the SR2 Formula graphic is kind of like that really cool European friend of yours who is at home with any conversation, comfortable at any social function, and welcoming to all who stop by for a visit. Long story short, it is a timeless graphic on a super-classy helmet that will always be in style.

Schuberth SR2 Traction HelmetFor a somewhat more aggressive stance on helmet graphics, the Schuberth SR2 Traction Helmet is also new for the Fall of 2016. As with all of its SR2 brethren, the Traction graphic rides atop one of the most precision-crafted motorcycle race helmets on the planet. Pattern-breaking in its graphic and industry-leading in its performance, the SR2 Traction Helmet is the kind of lid that demands a rider who is going to give it what it needs; speed -- lots of it, and in rapid succession.

Schuberth SR2 Wildcard HelmetAs the wacky brother in the SR2 family, the Schuberth SR2 Wildcard Helmet more than lives up to its name. With some of the most attention-grabbing color combinations, and a pattern that is somewhere between an angular space-invader ship and something from a Michael Bay movie, the SR2 Wildcard is far from subtle. Like the scene inside a kaleidoscope pointed at the lights of of a carnival ride, the Schuberth SR2 Wildcard takes one of the best racing helmets on the market and infuses it with an aesthetic all-its-own.

Speed is fun. Speed on a motorcycle is even more so. The SR2 is the latest helmet from Schuberth to augment such endeavors, and these graphics are a way to take the experience one step further still.

Have fun out there, be safe, and as always…

Schuberth R2 Helmet

Tony - Content Coordinator

Minimized doesn’t mean minimal in features. Well, at least when it comes to the new Schuberth R2 Helmet. Such is the case when looking at a helmet from one of the most prominent motorcycle helmet manufacturers in the world.
Schuberth R2 Helmet
The R2 is a motorcycle helmet that highlights the prowess that the team at Schuberth displays in every facet of their work. As an ultra-refined full-face helmet, the R2 uses its streamlined profile to offer a lightweight, aerodynamic, and all-day comfortable motorcycle helmet with style. From the Direct Fiber Processing process of shell production, to the highly optimized internal ventilation channels, Schuberth (as always) has focused on every detail of the R2 and have put their minds to work developing a well-rounded option for tearing down the tarmac.

With so much focus on the development of a new lid, the announcements of new helmet models from top-tier brands is relatively limited. When they do get announced, as is the case with the Schuberth R2, however, it is cause to get excited.

Have fun out there, be safe, and as always…

Schuberth SR2 Helmet

Tony - Content Coordinator

The best in the world. It’s hard to say about pretty much everything. There is always debate. Always another opinion. Always room to argue. When it comes to motorcycle helmets, that conversation is a tough one if arguing against Schuberth.

Schuberth SR2 HelmetThe all new Schuberth SR2 Helmet is, well, not entirely “all new.” It’s actually been out for a bit now, tearing through the European countryside and providing some of the most premium race-grade features anywhere on the earth. Developed (as all Schuberth helmets are) with an ardent focus on precision aerodynamics, the SR2 is the latest iteration in a long lineage of ultra-premium Schuberth helmets that are at their core, built to go fast. In addition to the lightweight fiberglass outer shell that retains top tallies in the safety category, the Schuberth SR3 Helmet also features a no-lift design, minimized buffeting, and increased levels of interior venting all work together to make this one of the most notable go-fast motorcycle helmets of the year.

Schuberth SR2 Helmet Review:

Exciting stuff out of Schuberth is to be expected. For the Fall of 2016, they have not disappointed.

Schuberth C4 Helmet

Tony - Content Coordinator

Over the years, nobody has done modulars quite like Schuberth. They took a helmet type that was often heavier, louder, and more cumbersome than its full-face contemporaries, and they developed one of the lightest, quietest, and most streamlined helmets on the market. Bar none. With the Schuberth C4 Helmet, that legacy continues.
Schuberth C4 Helmet
Compact in shape and futuristic in aesthetic, the C4 from Schuberth is the kind of helmet that would be just as at-home on a motorcycle as it would be speeding around the landscapes of far-off planets on war-bird-hovercraft-things. Premium in every regard, the C4 has been specially crafted to keep up with the most ardent long-range riders in the world, and to provide them with an experience commensurate with their own open-road skillsets. Features of the Schuberth C4 Helmet include an integrated antenna (pre-installed), an innovative Direct Fiber Processing method of construction for the outer shell, and wind-tunnel-optimized aerodynamics for comfort, stability, acoustic, and airflow at speed. Oh yeah, and if you prefer a more visible option, the Schuberth C4 Hi-Viz Helmet is also available.

For the best in the business when it comes to modular motorcycle helmets (and motorcycle helmets in general), the conversation will undoubtedly include Schuberth. For the Fall of 2016, they have further solidified their place at the top with the introduction of the C4.

Bell MX-9 Adventure MIPS Stryker Helmet

Bell is at it again! With the ever-changing technology that goes into helmets, it does not surprise me that Bell is incorporating yet another new innovation into their motorcycle helmets. For their Fall 2016 launch, Bell is introducing a new graphic on their widely popular Bell MX-9 Adventure Helmet. The catch is that the new Bell MX-9 Adventure MIPS Stryker Helmet also incorporates (as the name suggests) the innovative MIPS technology.
Bell MX-9 Adventure MIPS Stryker Helmet
The Bell MX-9 Adventure MIPS Stryker Helmet has the same dependable features as the standard Bell MX-9 Adventure Helmet. This includes the lightweight polycarbonate shell, integrated face shield with Nutri-Fog II anti-fog, Velocity-flow ventilation system, moisture wicking liners, and DOT and ECE rating. The MIPS version of the MX-9 Adventure helmet will still have 6 sizes with 3 shells and 3 EPS liners. The Stryker graphic will come in two striped colorways: Fluorescent Orange and Black or Black and White.

What is MIPS you ask? Well, let me tell you! MIPS, which stands for Multi-Directional Impact Protection System, is a slip plane that sits between the EPS and comfort liners to help manage energy from rotational and angular impacts. Basically, the MIPS slip plane layer moves inside the helmet to help slow or reduce the energy that’s produced from these types of impacts instead of transferring that full rotational force to your head (and brain). Bell utilizes this in a lot of their mountain biking helmets but this is the first time they are introducing the MIPS in any of their powersports helmets.

Bell MX-9 Adventure MIPS Stryker Helmet Review:

As I said in the beginning, I am not surprised that Bell is introducing yet another innovation to their motorcycle helmets - they are always pushing the envelope with helmet technology! I am curious to know if this MIPS liner will change the fit of the helmet and cannot wait to give it a try! Well, take the helmet for a spin… not the MIPS liner… if you get my drift!

Keep the rubber side down!

Bell SX-1 Whip Helmet

Ryan- Gear Geek
The Bell SX-1 Whip Helmet is a fresh new graphic to the tried and true SX-1 chassis. Bell is coming into the fall strong with the very popular Hi-Viz yellow graphic they call the Whip.

Bell SX-1 Whip HelmetThe Whip holds onto the DOT safety rating of the current SX-1 helmet. It also uses the same lightweight Polycarbonate shell, vent scheme, and removable washable liner. Bell is able to keep the price at under $100 which makes this an amazing value and very hard to beat. You can expect good quality and Bell backs that up with their industry leading 5-year warranty.

Bell SX-1 Whip Helmet Review:

If you are on a budget or need a backup helmet for the track or a friend, the SX-1 is a must checkout helmet. The Whip graphic is fresh and makes you look twice. If you have $100, want to look good, and need a new helmet, you need the new Whip SX-1.
