One of Icon's newest jacket/pant combinations is the Icon Brawnson Jacket and the Icon Brawnson Textile Overpants. Icon is one of the more popular brands amongst sport, stunt and street motorcyclists each year their releases become more and more popular. Since the release a few months back, the jacket and the pants have been widely successful with riders in our community based on the feedback we've seen thus far.
First let's check out the Icon Brawnson Jacket Review:
This jacket is primarily a fall/spring jacket, but will also give you great coverage and venting during the summer. The Brawnson Jacket is wind resistant and water resistant, but not waterproof. The cut is rather generous with its American fitting which is a huge plus so you can buy it in your normal size. There is a durable textile outer shell along with shoulder vents on the jacket as well as exhaust venting on the back. The armor on the jacket is CE Rated and located on the shoulders and elbows as well as a dual density foam pad on the back for protection. In addition, there is an insulated vest liner inside the jacket to help you get through the cooler weather. Icon is providing a lot of bang for the buck with this jacket and it's sure to continue to be popular with sport riders.
Now let's check out the Icon Brawnson Textile Overpants Review:
Just like the jacket, the Brawnson Overpants have a generous cut to them and run a bit on the larger size so if buying them in your normal jeans size, it is recommended you use a belt. The CE Rated knee armor, which Icon calls Field Armor, is adjustable which is a big positive about these pants. These pants are very beefy and provide great protection and are water resistant, but are not waterproof. With a 900D exterior shell construction, the Brawnsons provide excellent resistance to abrasion. All in all, the Brawnson Overpants provide excellent bang for the buck and pair up perfectly with the Brawnson jacket.
The Icon Brawnson Jacket and Overpants are both rock solid products, as we would expect from Icon, and should not disappoint.

Dainese Street Tracker Gore-Tex Pants
Dainese has just launched their brand new Dainese Street Tracker Gore-Tex Pants. These pants are the cream of the crop in Dainese's textile pants line. Dainese is a popular manufacturer of great motorcycle products, and these pants being the best of the best of Dainese's textile pants should not disappoint.
Lets check out the Dainese Street Tracker Gore-Tex Pants Review:
These pants are 3-season cold weather pants so you will be able to wear them in the most brutal conditions and still be able to stay warm and dry. The Gore-Tex liner is built into the outer shell while the thermal liner is removable. The hidden feature on these pants is the amount of venting you are getting to further increase the evaporation factor and provide some direct ventilation in warmer weather conditions. There is an abrasion-resistant textile outer shell and CE rated knee armor which extends all the way down to the shins that will protect from impact in the event of a get-off.
The hips have upgraded CE rated proshape armor which was previously used only in the Avro suit, but is now making its way into other high-end Dainese gear. The pants are well lit with reflective panels located in various strategic areas up and down the pants. The sizing on the Street Tracker is like most European pants, you'd have to go up 14-18 sizes from your typical jeans size to get an appropriate estimate of your Street Tracker Pants size.
All in all, these pants are a bit pricey, but being Dainese's best textile pants and getting all the upgraded features you get with these, they are still a bang for the buck product and should be highly considered for those looking for cold weather motorcycle pants.

Dainese Gator Gore-Tex Pants
Dainese has has come out with their Dainese Gator Gore-Tex Pants for 2011 as one of their top multi-season textile Gore-Tex options. As we all know, Dainese has earned a reputation of having extremely durable and fashionable products, and these pants are no exception. Second only to the Street Tracker in the Dainese line of textile pants, the Gator Pants offer a high level of technicality and will perform well with your favorite Dainese jacket in multiple weather conditions.
First lets take a look at the Dainese Gator Gore-Tex Pants Review:
Built for cool weather, these pants will keep you dry and comfortable during the fall, spring, and summer. They also include a removable thermal liner to keep you warm when temperatures dip. The pants are primarily composed of Comfort Cordura which is highly abrasion resistant but also has a nice degree of stretch to it for flexibility and comfort. The knees are primarily made up of Texas fabric which offers extra abrasion resistance to protect the more vulnerable areas.
Underneath the Texas fabric, there is CE Rated knee armor to further protect your knees in case of impact during a crash. The armor is removable and asymetrical meaning one piece is meant for the left knee while the other piece is meant for the right knee. There are temperfoam pads on the hips which provide an added protective element while allowing mobility. As mentioned in the title, there is a non removable gore-tex liner which will keep the elements out but allow you to breathe to prevent clamminess.

REV'IT! Cayenne Pro Jacket & Pants Video Review in HD
Many moons ago, a light bulb illuminated in the RevZilla brain trust. Our customers are buying gear online, with only text and images as a guideline; we thought, why not do detailed video product reviews as another helpful tool for our loyal RevZillains?
A few days later, RevZillaTV was born. And the REV'IT! Cayenne Pro Jacket & Pants was the very first product we featured eight long months ago. The audio was terrible, the resolution was brutal, and the guy on camera was freestyling it handheld-style. It was bad. But it was a big the first step for us.

Seeing as this outfit is the most bomb-proof, weatherproof, all-season monster of ADV Touring, we felt the onus of giving it due justice with our new and wildly-improved production quality.
With no further adieu, I present the REV'IT! Cayenne Pro Jacket & Pants RevZilla video review, parts I & II, in glorious HD.
Part I: The Detailed Review
Part II: Armor & Liner Breakdown

The videos speak for themselves. Some highlights from customer reviews for this REV'IT! beast at RevZilla: "excellent" "rugged" "liner is incredible" "a truly remarkable jacket" "very well designed" "outstanding!" "an amazing jacket."
If you don't want to take my word for it, I understand. Have a look at the two in-depth review videos for application, features, fit and an in-depth liner and armor breakdown. I promise you will be nothing short of astounded.
Check out other textile jackets and textile pants options over at RevZilla.com.

Until next time,
